Purchasing

What is the ordering procedure?

When you click on a product on our Store page you will be taken to our Esellerate e-commerce system. Once there you can use a credit card to order plug-ins (the transaction company will appear on your credit card statement as MindVision, the parent company of Esellerate). When the order is complete you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a serial number, which you will need to unlock the plug-in(s)… see below for more information. You have the option of downloading a new installer at this point but it is not necessary if you downloaded the latest version on our Downloads page.

What’s your licensing policy?

For any given Wave Arts plug-in, you must purchase a license for either the number of machines you want to install it on, or the number of people using the plug-in, whichever number is smaller. A single user can install the plug-in on a maximum of three machines.

So, if it’s just you in your studio, and you have a workstation and a laptop, you can install the plug-in on both machines and you only need one license since you’re the only user.

If there are five people in your studio, using the same plug-in on two machines, you should purchase two licenses of the plug-in.

Our challenge/response mechanism keeps count of the number of machines you have registered your plug-in on. When registering via our Register page, if you get an error saying that you have used up your maximum registrations, contact us for assistance.

Of course, this is all on the honor system. Thanks for being straight with us!

Can I return the software?

Since we offer a generous unrestricted 30-day demo to evaluate software, sales are final once the product is registered and unlocked.

Can I transfer my license?

Yes, we permit license transfers. You will need to remove the plug-in(s) from your computer, pass along your serial number(s) to the new user, and inform us of the new user info. Please note you cannot split up bundles into individual products when transferring licenses.

Do you offer educational discounts?

Yes! Students, faculty, staff and educational institutions get 50% off our regular retail (not sale) prices. Please provide us with a valid ID or proof of status via email or FAX, and we will email you back a coupon link to our secure online store which will apply the discount when you make your purchase.

As proof of academic/educational status, we’ll accept any one of the following:

  • Current and valid Student/Faculty/Staff ID
  • Current class schedule
  • Tuition receipt for current term
  • Recent faculty/staff payment stub

Due to our special relationship with Berklee College of Music, students and faculty there get a 55% discount. Simply provide the information as described above and we will provide the coupon with the additional 5% discount.
