Hello.
I have tons of mix (more than 100!)  and I did these with TP 4.x in a MAS version.
Now, I only have Intel computers and TP 4.20 is only AU.
When I open these old files, DP doesn’t see TP MAS (it says the plugins no longer exist) and so, I’ve lost all my mix!!!
Is there a way to import these MAS settings in the AU version other than open the files on a PPC computer, copy/paste the plugs in a AU version?

In these mix, I didn’t save the settings, it was “live settings” saved in the DP session.

I’ve had this exact problem myself – almost 1,500 pieces mixed on a G4 dual 800, most of them with multiple instantiations of TrackPlug 4 MAS. Migrating those files to a Mac Pro Quad 2.66 has proved painful with TrackPlug 4 AU as well as other plug-ins like PSP’s entire UB line-up and some of the PoCo stuff.

AFAIK the only way to do it (and the way I’ve been doing it for months and months now) is to fire up both computers, load up the files, and copy the settings by hand from one to the other.

Still, the good thing about it is that it’s given me the opportunity to revisit these mixes and improve on them since I’m no longer hampered by the G4’s comparative lack of grunt.

Sorry I don’t have a more constructive answer for you. Just to say that you’re not the only one with this problem…

I think I will go this road too, I can’t imagine an easy solution to solve this.

My problem is that I don’t have my G5, I’ve sold it. So, there is no more ppc at home, only intel.

I will borrow an Imac ppc from a friend and I will save the most important mix. Unless Wave Arts have another way to do that.

BTW the Mac Pro is an amazing machine… No more worries about adding tracks or plugs on big projects…  :D

I have attempted to dust off the version 4 code and get some experimental betas together for MAS universal binaries (MV 4, TP 4 and WS 4).  If you want to give it a try, download this file, unzip and copy the files to your /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MAS folder (the hard drive Library folder, not the username one).

Please keep in mind this is very “beta”, with no testing, but perhaps it will assist in project setting transfer.

I was hesitant to request something like this since you had already been kind enough to provide UB AU versions for a few of the PS4 plug-ins. Nevertheless, although it’s a little bit too late for my needs personally, many thanks for providing customer service well above and beyond the call of duty. It is much appreciated.
