Any news on a possible iLok authorisation of the plug-ins?
I think that being able to choose between iLok and challenge/response would be the best solution for all the customers. But anyway I think you really should add iLok authorisation, because a lot of freelance engineers (including myself) are moving from studios to studios, and to be able to bring your plug-ins with you is a huge plus.
Actually I’m really thinking of buying the MR Noise plugin, but the only thing that is keeping me from doing it, is the lack of iLok authorisation.

there is truly a divide among people, many love iLok (as i do) and many hate it.

providing two options for authorisation would be ideal IMO.

That would make me a Waves plugin user again. Haven’t used Waves since they added iLok. I purchased Waves V3 Native Bundle back in the day and can’t even use it anymore due to incompatibility with my current PC and OS. I was looking to upgrade, but the only way that is possible is with the use of an iLok which I refuse to purchase. Personally I had a bad experience with their tech support and that left me with a very bad impression of them. Waves has quite a few interesting new plugins like the tape emulation, and now they are offering great deals on pricing for many of their plugins. With the option for using an iLok or not would just give them much more sales in my opinion. It’s like a store telling customers they don’t accept cash anymore, so they just limit their sales to credit card users. There’s user that love ilok and then there’s user like myself that don’t. So giving us that option just benefits us all.
