Power Suite 5.51 Plug-Ins causing ProTools 9 to crash

I recently downloaded the 30-day demo version of Power Suite 5.51. I am running ProTools 9 on a recently purchased iMac G5, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 with 4GB RAM. The demos worked fine for about a week, and then as I was mixing, the interface of TrackPlug and FinalPlug turned black and then ProTools crashed after a few seconds. I should note that the MultiDynamics5 does not cause this problem. Only with FinalPlug and TrackPlug.

Now, every time I put one of the demo Plug-ins into one of the inserts, ProTools immediately crashes. I can’t even open sessions now in which I was using the Plug-ins, therefore I can’t remove the Plug-ins so ProTools will function normally.

Please help.

Could you email a crash log to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) ?  That would help me troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks

Rob,

Thank you for looking into this. Since I posted my problem, FinalPlug seems to be working again, but TrackPlug’s background interface is still all black when I do put it into an insert. It crashed again when I put TrackPlug in during playback, but not while I was not playing the session. The crash log I’m emailing is when I put TrackPlug into an insert during playback. Also, is there a way a can take a picture of the screen to show you what the interface of TrackPlug looks like? I know this is possible in web browsers but I don’t know how to do it on my computer outside of a web browser, or if it is even relevant to helping you diagnose the problem.
