I´m working with the WaveArts Master Restauration Suite and Nuendo 4.1 on an apple macpro quad, 2,66mhz with 4gb ram.

There I have performance-problems when I insert one of the restauration plugins. The performace monitor go from 5% to 40%, with two Waveart-Plugins to 60%. Additionally the clipping led lights and the perfomance breaks down.

Steinberg says, that they have still problems with their VST3-Bridge but the universal binary versions of plugins run without problems.

Is it correct, as announced on the WaveArt Productpage, that only AU- and RTAS Versions of Master Restauration suite are universal binaries or also the VST-versions?

Do you know this problem and have a solution?

This is not something we’ve heard of before.  All our plug-ins except version 4 are Universal Binaries, so that shouldn’t be an issue.  Does this happen with any of the “MR” plug-ins, or just the all-in-one Master Restoration plug-in?

I often have this problem with Mrnoise. With Mrhum, the issue is there but not so hard.

MR Noise can be a CPU hog at high sampling rates, e.g. 96 kHz or greater. We are working on optimizing it. What sampling rates are you using when you see the problem?

I am working with 48k and 24bit sample rate.
