Setting up surround in a small room

Looking for suggestions on setting up surround in a room that is 10x14 for Audio Post, mostly film and a little broadcast. I know this is not an ideal situation, but I would appreciate in any input. I am working with the LSR 4328p’s in stereo now and have thought about expanding this to a full system, but it seems like overkill for this size room. Has anyone combined these with smaller monitors for the surrounds and center or is this out of the question? I read an article in Sound on Sound that said it is possible. Will I be throwing my mix completely off by doing this or is there a way to compensate for it? The other option is to go with a surround system that is smaller all around, but I really like the bottom end of the 4328’s and would hate to lose this and so far they have translated very well to other systems.

Thanks for any feedback!

I’d recommend using the same speakers to fill out the surround system. I don’t know much about that system but the literature says it’s designed for stereo or surround and you can mix the 6 and 8 inch satellite models.
