Hi,
I’m using the demos of Masterverb and Trackplug and like them both very much! I’ve noticed some meter problems using Samplitude 8.12. In Trackplug, the meters seem to be ahead. I have it on snare and the meters move on the kick. I can hear it working on the snare like it should, it’s like, I see the meter move before the snare hit, then I hear the snare with the effect at the right time. I tired it with the same tracks in another program and didn’t have the problem. Could it be because of the latency compensation?

Interesting… what is the buffer size set to in Samplitude?  If you play around with the lookahead settings in the gate/comp 1/comp 2 and turn the limiter off/on, does it affect the meter syncronization?

Hi Rob,
The only way I could get the meters in synch was to increase the Asio buffer size from 320 to 640. Turning the look ahead settings and various parts of the plug had no effect.
What was really odd to me was, I have it inserted on the snare track, and the plugs meters were out of synch but the track meter in Samplitude was still in synch.

Well, i was playing around and lowered the buffer back down and the meters stayed in synch, one of those things i guess.

It’s not unusual for meters to be out of sync with the audio because of internal buffering. Generally, decreasing the host buffer size will make things more realtime. But there’s still the possibility of other plug-ins having buffering latency, so the host may run some tracks way ahead of time so that the large latency plugs are in time.
