Hi,

I’ve been checking out the Trackplug in Logic 7.1.1
I think it’s wonderful!
Only gripe is, on my system the plugin takes a second to open.
I am on a G5 2x2, 10.4.4, 2,5 Gb RAM.
Anyone out there who has worked the plugin on a faster machine, like the 2.7 or the quad?
Just wondering if the plugin would open faster on any of those…
Thanx,
O.

When TrackPlug first opens, it loads all it’s graphics from a set of files in Application Support/Wave Arts, so this may be the small delay you are noticing.

Thanx for the reply.
I understand, but it doesn’t do this just the first time, does it? It happens here every single time I (re)open whichever trackplug I’ve plugged in…

Yes, each instance is opening the same graphics files, hence the delay. It should be possible to share the graphics files between all instances of the plugs, in theory at least, and then only the first one opened would have a delay. We’ll look into it. The startup delay also bugs me, but it’s a consequence of having the nice eye candy displays.
