Having read such good reports about Wave Arts I decided to try out the Final Plug demo, I downloaded and installed it and then placed it in my vst folder.

I restarted my computer and now i can’t open Ableton Live 6.0.3, when it tries to open the message ‘could not create new user preset file’ appears.

with the option of ‘no’ highlighted, whichever otption is selected Live crashes and then asks me to send a bug report to Apple.

I saw the other thread witha similar issue but my porblem is I can’t even open LIve, please help!!

Hi Paolo,

Are you using a non-administrator account in OS X?

The “could not create user presets file” error is a problem that will be fixed in the next update.

If you could send that crash log to us at it would be helpful.

In the meantime you can either drag FinalPlug 5 out of your /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder, or if you can log on to your Mac under an admin account it will work better (in admin mode you can follow the instructions I posted about changing the file permissions so it can be used under a regular “User” account).
