In Protools M-Powered v7.4 on a Mac Pro, CPU usage for all eight processors is 30-40% even when audio is not playing.  Is there something wrong here?  I can’t even bounce a track with just this plugin without a CPU overload.

It’s due to Pro Tools not being officially compatible with Mac OS X/CoreAudio past 10.4.9.

Thanks for the quick response Cory.  Have you used these in an earlier OS version without the CPU overload?

Yes…

I have been using the WA plugs for a while now in a few versions of Pro Tools. They are actually some of the best as far as low processor power.

I have a good feeling that once 7.4 is qualified and all the kinks are worked out, the Wave Arts plugs will again shine as they have.
