Updated MD5.3 to MD5.4 - all instances of AU MD5 in Logic 8 and Waveburner projects (which were MD5.3) show completely random settings.  I deleted MD5.4 and reinstalled 5.3 - saved settings are back thank goodness.

Does this mean you need to be sure you’re not going to re-visit older projects if you update the plugin?

This shouldn’t happen, I’ve been opening older Logic projects with the new plug-ins and the settings seem fine (and nothing like this came up in beta testing). I will run some some more tests and let you know.  Are you on an Intel Mac or PowerPC?

Also, was it 5.35 you were using previously, or 5.30?

I came across a problem with settings recall that is specific to AU on PowerPC computers.

Can you try re-downloading the 5.40 installer and let me know if that fixes the problem?

Why would it be different now?

I uploaded new installers today, reflected in the “Feb 11 2008” build date (if you see the Revision list on the downloads page).

Yes, it will install over the previous version (if you are wondering about the “0 bytes” in the installer window, that’s because it won’t take any extra space to install the new version).
