I have been using Power Suite 5 on an older G4 for a while, and recently upgraded to a new iMac. I transfered my user account from my old computer, and then started getting this strange message about the plugins not being able to create a new preset file. After reading a few posts here and there, I figured out that I could just go to the existing file in ~/Library/Application Support/Wave Arts and go to each plug-in folder, and rewrite the permissions for each preset file by using Get Info, and adjusting the permissions manually. Simple Process, took about five minutes, and now no more problems. I hope this helps others who experience the same issues I did.
