We are pleased to announce that we have public betas available for anyone interested in trying native 64-bit versions of our Mac AU and VST plug-ins (MAS and RTAS remain 32 bit).

Please note that OS 10.4 and PowerPC Macs are no longer supported with this version, and that these are beta (currently under testing and not officially released), we are interested in getting feedback about how well they work and any issues you come across (feel free to post in this thread or email us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) ).

Hi,
(just testing the “Power Couple” here)...
Opened MasterVerb 5, TrackPlug 5 and TrackPlug 5 ExtSC in Cubase 6.0.5 Mac 64-bit, and, while the first two are fine, TrackPlug 5 ExtSC is still seen as a 32-bit plugin, requiring Steinberg’s VSTBridge.

.. and, just to confirm the fix..
Yep, TrackPlug 5 ExtSC is now showing correctly as a 64-bit plugin in Cubase 6.0.5 Mac.

Thanks wink

I’ve uploaded new installers (same links, build date December 9) which fixes the following issues:

- RTA display in TrackPlug works now
- FinalPlug dither section fixed (enabling this section was causing distortion or no sound being heard)
- keystrokes passed to the host if plug-in doesn’t process them (i.e. controlling transport when plug-in window open)

For Mac RTAS 32-bit:
- fixed AudioSuite render crash

New build (December 20):

- Fixed TrackPlug “Save As” preset menu
- Fixed all sectional preset menus

I’ve just tried installing the beta Power Suite on Logic 9.1.6 (using Mac OSX 10.7.2).  The plugins don’t seem to show up among the 64-bit plugin options, though the old 32-bit plugins appear as usual.  Any suggestions?

If you drag the plug-ins out of the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components folder then back in, does that help?  Or re-scanning the plug-ins in the Audio Unit Manger under the Preferences menu?

Thanks for the fast response, Rob.  Dragging and replacing the components seemed to do the trick.
