A message to our users

TL;DR: It's a one man shop and the owner is currently busy doing something else. But not dead.

You've browsed to a plug-in website. There are a bunch of products on display, demo videos, store page, customer support FAQ, etc., and it seems reasonably professional and well organized. But who's behind it? In the case of Wave Arts, at the moment it's just me, Bill Gardner. It hasn't always been a one-man show, I've been blessed to have had a number of excellent coworkers who have contributed to Wave Arts in its 25+ year history. Plug-ins are only part of the story, Wave Arts has also done business in algorithm licensing and consulting services, specifically in the area of telecom software.

For the past few years, I've worked extensively on plug-in development, upgrading Power Suite to v7, and releasing a major update to Convology XT. While considering next steps I was presented with an opportunity to work on a project involving realtime voice and video communications, which is of great interest to me. I have accepted a full time engineering position at a company that makes messaging and collaboration software.

What does this mean for Wave Arts? It means I won't have time to devote to new product development. However, I intend to keep the Wave Arts site operational. This means access to downloads, purchasing of new products and upgrades, account logins, etc., will all work. And most importantly, online and offline product registration and iLok licensing will all be active for the foreseeable future. I will also respond to all customer support inquiries, but this will not be as timely as it has been in the past (I often replied immediately), so please be patient.

I've also increased the default authorization count to 12 for serial number based licensing (I get a lot of requests to increase authorization counts on serials). The long term plan was to make all licensing account based, but it didn't quite happen.

To current users and owners of Wave Arts products: I appreciate your support over the years!

Cheers,

Bill
